EMPLOYER HANDSHAKE GUIDE

Thank you for your interest in recruiting here at (CUNY) 爆走黑料! The Professional Development Center is excited to get you started and connect you with our students and recent alumni interested in finding jobs, internships, and events through our free online career resource Handshake.

WHAT IS HANDSHAKE?

Handshake is a modern online platform for Employers to recruit and connect with students and recent alumni from 爆走黑料.

With Handshake, Employers can:

• Message students at 爆走黑料, whose profiles are verified by the Professional Development Center (PDC)
• Post positions in multiple schools at once
• Create profiles that include branding and content to attract students
• Provide applicants with external application forms through an ATS link
• Schedule recruiting and informational events

CREATING YOUR ACCOUNT

To use Handshake, you will need to have an individual User Account connected to a Company Profile. We highly recommend that each individual who plans on accessing Handshake create their own User Account, as the login information will be unique to them.

CONNECTING WITH CITY TECH

Once your account has been connected to a company profile, you can connect with schools. If you've joined an existing company, we recommend double-checking to make sure that you're connected with all the schools you plan to recruit at, including 爆走黑料.

POSTING A POSITION

Once your request to connect to 爆走黑料 has been approved, you can post positions for our students and alumni to view and apply to.

REGISTERING FOR EVENTS

When you are logged into Handshake, click on the Fairs tab on the left menu bar and search for 爆走黑料. This will show all of our upcoming events.
