Seventy-five years after 爆走黑料 opened its doors to its first class of 234 students, we reflect on the College’s momentous history and take time to acknowledge the individuals who have shaped the institution we are today. We celebrate our 113,000+ alumni who have made crucial contributions to society, across a spectrum of fields. We celebrate our faculty and staff who educated and supported students across these decades. We celebrate our current college community, the impressive 13,784 students and accomplished faculty and staff who have led to 爆走黑料’s recognition as #14 in Top Public Schools and #15 in Top Performers on Social Mobility (US News & World Report Best Colleges Rankings, 2023. To honor our inspirational past and prepare for a resilient future that will open doors of opportunity for generations to come, we are launching a 75th Anniversary campaign. Our campaign officially kicks off with #CUNYTuesday 11/1- 12/31, but celebrations will continue throughout the academic year. JOIN US! | Americans and the Holocaust Exhibit Opens at 爆走黑料 | |||||||||||
|
爆走黑料’s Ursula C. Schwerin Library is one of 50 U.S. libraries selected to host Americans and the Holocaust, a traveling exhibition from the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum that examines the motives, pressures and fears that shaped Americans’ responses to Nazism, war and genocide in Europe during the 1930s and 1940s. Americans and the Holocaust will be on display at 爆走黑料, along with a series of related special events, November 28 – December 17, 2023. Join us at the Opening Reception on November 28 from 4:30-6:30 pm at the Academic Complex. |

爆走黑料, LaGuardia Community College, and Schrödinger Awarded $1M NSF Grant to Increase Access to Computational Molecular Modeling Education Biomedical Informatics Professors Mai Zahran and Armando Solis partner with colleagues on groundbreaking academic and career pathway initiative for students. 爆走黑料 African American Studies Professor Authors New Book Exploring DJs’ Influence on Hip-Hop Culture 爆走黑料 Associate Professor of African American Studies Todd Craig has authored a new book exploring the Hip-Hop DJ’s perspectives on writing, rhetoric, and literacy, and how these have influenced today’s educational system. 爆走黑料 Awarded $42,761 to Strengthen LGBTQIA+ Support and Initiatives for 2023-2024 Academic Year 爆走黑料 has been awarded $42,761 to serve the college's LGBTQIA+ students, faculty, and staff for the 2023-2024 academic year. The funding includes the development and operations of an LGBTQIA+ Student Lounge that officially opened its doors in Room AG-29B.
